Just months after the country went into the polls, a section of Dagoreti North and Kasarani residents have started admiring City lawyer Danstan Omari as their next member of Parliament. Currently Hon. Beatrice Elachi is the area MP and Karauri Ronald Kamwiko is the Kasarani MP.
Omari has not shown interest in the race but has continued educating slums residents across the country on his TV programme. We did not reach to him for a comment as we felt it was early to do so.
“ We have our mother Beatrice Elachi, we love her but without lying, some of us wants to test Lawyer Danstan Omari’s leadership,” Paul Mwangi told this reporter.
He said that Omari’s stance in some matters of public interest makes him the kind of the leader the want to have.
“ When you hear him speaking, he speaks wisdom and the country wants such kind of leaders today, we want him to be our Mp,” he said.
Another resident from Kasarani said that the lawyer can also be elected if he decides to vie in the constituency.
“ He is the kind of a leader that may change our life and bring developments to our people,” he said.
Omari has been educating slum residents on dangers of crime and how to evade robbery related charges.
He is always neutral and that explains why he is at a good place of succeeding when he decides to venture into politics.
