A city man who allegedly attempted to evict a guard and some staff from a parcel of land after allegedly posing as a police officer from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has been charged at a Kibera court.
Daniel Kinyanjui Kimani was charged before Kibera Principal Magistrate Derrick Kuto but he denied the charges.
He is said to have allegedly attempted to evict security guards and staff at the land premise number LR/462 and has been charged in court.
The court papers that were presented before the magistrate and read out heard loudly that the accused person allegedly committed the offense on February 1, 2023, at Kindaruma mall along Kindaruma road in the Kilimani area within Nairobi County.
He, however, denied the charges and through his lawyer told the court to release him on lenient bond terms.
The magistrate released him on an Sh100,000 bond with an alternative cash bail of Sh50,000.
The court directed that the matter be mentioned on February 27 for a pre-trial.
