Stop living lavish lifestyles at expense of worshippers Kindiki tells clerics

Interior CS Kithure Kindiki has said that that many preachers have turned worshippers into their minting machines.

“They drive big cars,own big houses and live lavish lifestyle at the expense of their followers,” he said.

Kindiki said preachers of religion should put congregants interest first instead of their own.

The CS said that he will not allow preachers who brainwash people using scriptures to ply their trade in the country.

He spoke when he was attending Sunday worship at the House of Testimonies, Victory Revival Church Nturiri-Maara Constituency, Tharaka Nithi County.

He listed terror, cattle rustling and illicit brews and narcotic drugs as the vices affecting the progression of the country.

On terrorism Kindiki said he will protect the country from terror threats.

He said the country has enough ammunation and workforce to avert terror attack like the one in Garissa University.

He said there are 13 counties that are affected by cattle rustling.

“We have Isiolo,Marsabit Mandera,Tana River among other perpetrated on people because of outdated cultural practices of cattle rustling,” he said.

 

On fake preachers he said the government will crack down on all irrespective of religion.

Kindiki said Paul McKenzie will rot in jail because he had killed so many innocent people.

 

He said there is no difference between Osama Bin Laden and McKenzie.

He said MCkenzie followers who had rmainzd were running to Tsavo East National park.

He said they will continue the search for survivors in Tsavo East National park.

Kindiki said they will put law to avoid such incidences as the one in Shakahola.

“When USA was in a twin attack in September 11 they put tough measures to safeguard their country we are also going to put tough measures to safeguard our country,” Kindiki said.
