Top schools in Homabay

Mbita Boys High School, Agoro Sare Boys, Orero Boys and Asumbi Girls are some of top schools in Homa Bay in 2022 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).

Mbita Boys had 15 candidates with A (plain), –A 54, B+79, B71, B- 58, C+ 27, C14 and C- 4. The School had a mean score of 9.2 points.

Majority of the 322 students got grades for direct entry into universities.

Principal Kennedy Ojijo said hard work was the secret to their success.

“Our teachers to complete syllabus in time and students were also dedicated for studies. We thank God for blessing our efforts,” Ojijo said.

At Agoro Sare High School, High School 12 candidates got A plain. –A 69, B+99, B 122, B- 99, C+ 69, C 20 and C- 2 A. The school got a mean grade of 8.935.

Majority of the 492 students grades for direct entry to universities.

Principal James Momanyi said co-operation between teachers, parents and students enabled his candidates to shine in the examination.

“The co-operation enabled teachers, parents and teachers made every stakeholder to perform their role. This is made everybody pull towards the same direction,” Momanyi said.

At Orero Boys, preliminary results showed that that six candidates had got A plain.

Principal Dickens Bula said they had hope of getting good results.

“We are still retrieving the results online but the few that we have got indicate that our candidates have performed well,” Bula said.

At Asumbi Girls High School five candidates had got A plain.

Principal Linet Sati said they were still retrieving the results as she expressed hope of good performance.
