Two vehicles have been burnt down as two others destroyed when protestors stormed the Kisumu UDA office.

Eric Osenya chairman UDA Kisumu county said they were held hostage by the protestors who stormed the premises.

He said they locked themselves in the office for some time even as they threw stones and them through the widows breaking the glasses and they hid upstairs.

When the protestors moved away to regroup, they got opportunity and ran away to the nearby hotels.

“However when we got out they came in vandalised everything destroy four vehicles and burnt some, taken all the computers laptops cameras including the seats and curtains”,he said.

He noted that they also took there documents because at the offices they have been conducting membership registrations.

“You can see how the kitchen is they have taken everything including the cups and food that were all in there””noted Osenya.

Fire fighting accompanied by police officers reached the scene and put away the fire even as the protestors from Nyalenda area threw stone at the officers .
