Case against 3 Chinese nationals
The accused are said to have jointly entered into a contract with Ederman Properties Kenya to supply gypsum production machines in July 2020.

They obtained Ksh320 million but instead of supplying the materials, they are accused of going into hiding only to resurface more than two years later with a different set of machines which are said to be below the agreed standards and did not meet the specifications outlined in the contract.

According to Ederman Ltd Managing Director Zeyun Yang, the trio delivered substandard equipment which didn’t much the specification they were given by the company, leading to a disagreement.

He claimed that the suspects wanted to escape liability by giving false information to the Chinese Embassy and police.

Ederman Properties Kenya has been manufacturing gypsum ceiling boards at Mutwangombe along the Mwingi-Garrissa highway since 2012.
