Scandal hit, Corrupt and Dangerous Former Mp Aspirant Francis Mureithi Wambugu charged with Sh320M Deadly Fraud

Mr. Francis Mureithi Wambugu , a Former Mp Aspirant has been charged with Fraud at the Milimani law courts on November 25, 2020.

Francis Mureithi Wambugu pleaded not guilty to seven counts of obtaining money by false pretence. Former Embakasi East MP aspirant Francis Mureithi has been charged with fraud of Sh320 million in a military tender scam.

He is accused that with intent to defraud, he obtained Sh320 million by pretending that DOC company had contracts with the Ministry of Defence to supply foodstuff with a department of defence, a sugar distribution agreement with Mumias Sugar, among other contacts.

He allegedly committed the offence between April 26 and November 3, 2016 in the country.

Former Embakasi East MP aspirant Francis Wambugu Mureithi at the Milimani Law Court Nairobi on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 after denying seven charges including obtaining money by false pretence. The court heard that on diverse dates between April 26 and November 3, 2016 within Nairobi County, jointly with others not before court, with intent to defraud, obtained from Haile Menkerios Ksh 320,850,000, by falsely pretending that DOC Find Company Limited had contracts with the Ministry of defence to supply foodstuff to its department of defence. A fact that was not true. Mureithi was granted a cash bail of Sh 500,000

 

 

Prior to that she denied the charges before  Milimani chief magistrate Martha Mutuku.

His Lawyers led by Mr.Dancun Okach, he pleaded for lenient bond terms.

He has been ordered released on a cash bail of Sh5 million or a bond of Sh10 million.

The case will be mentioned on December 8.
