Police in Eldoret raided four electronic shops where they recovered stolen items valued at millions of shillings.

Tens of police officers were deployed to cordon off Patrecia building building where 7 suspects who are owners of the shops were arrested.

Uasin Gishu county police commander Benjamin Mwanthi said they recovered electronic items including more than 130 mobile phones and over 40 laptops.

Other items recovered were fridges and gas cylinders among others.

“We received complaints from members of the public and have been investigating the matter leading to the arrests”, said Mwanthi.

He said they were still following up more leads to arrest other suspects.
