“Today, I got my manifesto from the printers and released to colleagues. It was developed after consultation with members across the country. The message I get from colleagues is express, clear, and unequivocal- they need an LSK President who can lead from a practitioners standpoint. In essence- they have insisted that the next LSK President must aggressively and strategically prioritise practice issues. Law firms are facing declining incomes because of the shrinking legal market. As a profession we must push for strategic policy and legal reforms to protect our practice and deepen new areas. We must plant the seeds to reboot and develop the legal market. As we strongly push for rule of law issues- we must use the same aggressiveness and energy to protect bread and butter issues. Stoically, strategically, and consequentially. This is what my manifesto is all about.”
