Warring Kericho governors vows to Work together

Warring Kericho governors have resolved to bury their differences ahead of President William Ruto visit in Kericho during Mashujaa Day celebrations.

The governor Dr Eric MUtai and his deputy Engineer Fred Kirui regretted time wasted since last general election

At meeting held at Kericho International Training Centre.Kericho vowed never to engage in war of words that had nearly brought the county activities to a halt.

last Friday.deputy president Rigathi Gachagua told the governor and his deputy to forget their differences or risk being voted out for a byelection that would inject leaders who are out to serve the public
The DP said Kericho which is presidents home and political stronghold was a let down and an embarrassment over endless war of words between the two.

Ainamoi member of the national assembly ,ambassador Benjamin Langat and county woman member of parliament Beatrice Kemei pushed for the reconciliation of the governor and his deputy.

Governor Dr Eric MUtai regretted the time wasted during their differences.

Never again shall we engage in war of words at time when we are supposed to serve the county residents,the governor said

His deputy Engineer Fred said he and his boss will never again engage in war of words.

We have wasted valuable time since last general election.the county residents gave us mandate to lead you but for the last one year it has been a time of name calling among our supporters over our political differences.deputygover Fred Kirui said.
