Haren Kumar Damji Madavia is a businessman cum Fraudster that everyone is running away from.
However things needs to have been in a good manner after the DCI issues issued a red alert for Mr. Haren Kumar Damji Madavia, whose photograph appears below.
Mr. Damji is believed to be part of a syndicate that goes round the country fleecing unsuspecting traders of assorted goods.
- The SCI however did not mention the names of the victims the DCI issued the alert to the public to come up with incriminating evidence of having fallen prey to Mr. Damji’s fraud.
Cases of obtaining goods by false pretences are unique in that they occur among tradespeople who have prior knowledge of one another and are usually perpetrated within certain communities or social groups. This makes evidence to sustain prosecution usually hard to come by.
Economic crimes of this nature often target importers and manufacturers and usually involve astronomical amounts of money. Police have evidence linking Damji to a series of offences committed countrywide.
In it’s appeal the Directorate of Criminal Investigations is inviting victims to report to the Officer in Charge of Economic and Commercial Crime Unit at DCI Headquarters, Block ‘B’, Ground Floor No.12 to enable police proceed with prosecution.
Already Haren Kumar Damji has been arraigned in court and released on bond
