How Rogue Lawyer Simon Kamere efforts to forge a will and defraud backfired

An advocate of the High Court of Kenya has been arraigned in Milimani Law Courts and charged with forging a Will belonging to the late Pius Kimani Mwaura.

Lawyer Simon Kamere who appeared before Magistrate Robert Shikwe is accused of forging the said Will on May 29th, 2014 at Ukulima Cooperative House within Nairobi.

Mr. Kamere is believed to have forged the Will with an aim of defrauding an Estate belonging to the late Mwaura within Nairobi.

The lawyer then submitted the forged Will to the late Mwaura’s widow purporting it to be genuine and signed by the deceased.

The accused lawyer denied the charges and was released on a bond of Ksh 1m with an alternative cash bail of Ksh 500,000.

The case will be mentioned on April 7th, 2022 for pretrial.
