A Kileleshwa woman has been arraigned at a Kibera court for assaulting a househelp causing her bodily harm.
Esther Wanjiru Kiarie was charged before Senior Principal magistrate Margret Murage where she denied the charges.
The court heard that Kiarie alledgly assaulted Margret Nduku on January 22, 2024 at Kileleshwa within Nairobi County.
Nduku alledgly suffered some mouth injuries during the said attack.
In court she pleaded for a lenient bond terms.
Her lawyer told the court that the accused person was a law abiding citizen and requested that the defence be supplied with all the witness statements and documentary evidences that the prosecution wanted to rely on during the entire trials.
The magistrate released her on Sh 20,000 cash bail with the surety of the same amount with a credible contact person.
She directed that the matter be mentioned on February 22 for a pre-trial.
