A Makadara Law Courts official has been arrested for demanding a Ksh.400,000 bribe to expedite the printing and issuance of Court Proceedings related to the complainant’s court file.
Abdifatah Mahumud Hassan, a court assistant, was apprehended by police after receiving Ksh.50,000 of the requested amount.
“At the time of the arrest, he had received and downpayment of Kes.50,000 and was due to receive the balance when detectives pounced,” said EACC.
He is expected to be processed at EACC Police Station today before arraignment
