Alex Ayata Migosi, the main suspect in the killing of a woman and his two children in Marani, Kitutu Chache North in Kisii Tuesday has been arraigned in a Kisii Law court
Prosecution, however, requested the he be detained for ten more days to allow detectives to conclude investigations.
The 27 year old had surrendered himself to police in Marani Tuesday evening hours after committing the felony.
The scene deceased his brother’s’ wife, Edna Nyairo,22,and two of her children Quinter Kemunto,4, and Mark Dismas,3.
Villagers spoke of a frosty relationship between the suspect and the step brother over land before the slaughter. .

Prosecutor Job Okello said they wanted more time so that the suspect undergoes a mental assessment.
He further argued that it would not be of good interest if the man were to be released because his life would be endangered.
“Your honour the suspect would be lynched if he is released on any terms,”he said.
