City Lawyer Hillary Cheboi; From handling high profile cases, public interest cases and his political life and ambitions

For any young advocate trying to get a footing in the legal profession, being ready at all times to rise up to the ocassion when call arises is something anyone would have one to be appreciated for the work they do.

And that is what has led to the rise of Elgeyo Marakwet-born Hillary Cheboi making him establish his law firm CK Advocates in 2017 as he with a desire of being a people’s champion in the corridors of justice.

Having graduated with a Bachelor of Law(LLB) from Moi University, Eldoret, Cheboi has been at the fore of even representing a host of prominent cases in the country.

Cheboi has been representing the family of the late athlete Agnes Tirop in a murder trial against his enstranged husband, Ibrahim Rotich, who is said to have gruesomely murdered her in Uasin Gishu county.

The ongoing murder case at the Eldoret High Court has drawn worldwide outrage and condemnation shining a spotlight on the travails and tribulations on gender-based violence especially against women despite their standing in the society especially in Africa.

Cheboi, who threw his hat in the political ring in the Elgeyo Marakwet Senatorial seat during the 2022 General Elections following the appointment to Cabinet of Kipchumba Murkomen, has an ardent liking for supporting humanitarian courses and being embedded in social activism which he believes if for the good of the society and country at large.
