School Director Amos Onyongo Ombui charged with attempting to kill a pupil as parents calls on School boycot

A Rogue school director Amos Onyongo Ombui has been charged with attempting to kill a pupil as calls increase for parents to shun pupils away from the school intensify.

The Kins Favor Academy Director Mr. Amos Onyongo Ombui has been charged with colluding together with other teachers with attempting to kill a pupil.

Parents are now calling on The State to take action and calls to get learners away from the school intensify.

“I am urging my fellow parents with learners at this school to try and transfer them over safety concerns. I also urge the State to inspect the school and close it down if possible. We have witnesses rot in mega propotions,” said a resident living close to the school.

Our investigations have indicated that Mr. Amos Onyongo Ombui, the main suspect in the attempted murder case, is the original school director of Kins Favour Academy located in Gatina and a also preacher at the Faith Action Church in Nairobi.

Despite him holding these sensitive positions, the charges read to him indicate he allegedly colluded with two other teachers and did spray what was indicated to be “some flammable liquids” to a 16 year old pupil before setting him ablaze.

The student is in critical condition at a Private Hospital with over 50 percent burns.

He denied the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate Monica Maroro who granted him a cash bail of Sh. 200,000.

As we proceed with publishing the article, the Ministry of Education is yet to act on the same and we shall be seeking its indulgence in the coming weeks after they take plea this Thursday at a Kibera court.

According to the DCI who is aware of the matter, a parent from the school was shocked to learn that Mr.Ombui was among the two rogue teachers who wanted the minor dead.

”An OB number 27/2/03/2024 was registered after Agnes Wangeshi reported the matter to the police about the attempted murder of his son. She reported that she received some tips from members of the public that his beloved son had been set ablaze at the school after being tied with a rope,” Detective Fred Ambasa told a Kibera court magistrate.

The court heard that the preacher who doubles as the school director and the other teachers accused the 16 year old Dylan Maina of stealing some eggs and books from one of the classrooms.

This is contrary to what teachers and preachers should do in such cases and experts says violates the existing code of contacts.

Some aggrieved parents now want the Ministry of Education to shut down the school for the safety of learners.

According to an insider, the school lacks enough facilities and professionals who can advice learners in such cases and get them back to their normal life.

”Some parents are now planning to get their children away from the school. Its now a death trap,” said an insider.

Back in court, papers in our possession, the barbaric Ombui and his accomplice are said to have tied the boy with a rope and he was only rescued by the police officers from Muthangari who acted on time.

Detectives asked court to grant them 14 days to complete their investigations into the matter and later prefer the chargess to the suspects.

We managed to get a comment from Mr. Ombui who categorically denied the accusations in court after the application was read to him.
